    Question:
I own a 225LD trimmer and needed a new trimmer head so I looked it up on your website and decided to buy the T35X which listed the 225LD as a model that it would fit. I looked up the dealer from your web site which is John H. Eschenberg Inc. and ordered it from them. After bringing it home and trying to install it, it was clear that it does not fit the 225LD. The screw hole on the T35X is much larger than the screw of the trimmer. How do I resolve this?

What PN did you order? There is two versions the T35X; a 12mm and a 10mm.

      578 44 65-01 10MM LH

      578 44 66-01 12MM LH

The Husqvarna dealer ordered the 578 44 65-01 for me.

      David,

I looked over the ipl for that brush cutter and it didn't come come with the extension that is on the gearbox currently and the owner's manual doesn't one being used either.

I think if you remove the extension present you should be able to put the trimmer head on. The old head looks like a Stihl head to me.

        Eugene,

I purchased it new from the Husqvarna dealer several years ago so it should be all Husqvarna.

So you are saying that the square part that has the 7mm screw end screws off the gear box to reveal a 10mm screw end that will screw into the new head?

        Thanks Eugene,

The pin did unscrew to reveal a 10mm bolt that fits the new head.
