    Question:
Why has Merit Hardware in Bridgeport CT taken four weeks to perform warranty work on my FL25C trimmer? (and it's still not ready!) Why do they say a new shield is back ordered when the same part is in stock according to Weed Eater customer service?

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting that you have experienced this kind of delay.

Weed Eater service centers order their parts through distributors, some dealer and some distributors could be out of a particular part at the time of need. This is not something we control. If the dealer did not have the part in-stock the dealer orders from a distributor most dealers order either daily or weekly, if the distributor did not have the part then the distributor will order parts and equipment based on their own schedule. This can be daily to quarterly and anywhere in between.

You might attempt to find the part needed online or at another authorized service center.
