    Question:
    Weedeater One Friction Disc
    Details:

I was wondering if this is covered under the warranty. I'm about to take the mower in for service. The mower will barely if at all move. Makes kind of like a grinding or slipping sound. Everything else I have checked looks and works fine. I have the orginal 960240001 model that I bought on May 1 2010. I read in one of the articles inside answer army that the transmission (friction disc) had beed updated much like the steering wheel adapter (which I've also recently replaced). Thanks.

UPDATE: I also did run across the Husqvarna Service Bulletin: B201002015, however it says units with serial numbers starting with 040510xxxx and mine starts with 040210. Not sure if that helps or not.

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

Your mower is not affected by the information in the service bulletin. Your mower was built before we ever received the disk that failed.

I do not know if your disc will be covered by warranty. Warranty covers DEFECTS in material and workmanship, warranty does not cover normal wear items such as belts, discs filters, blades.

Once you take the mower to your locally authorized service center the dealer will be able to make the determination on warranty.
