    James,

    Thanks for contacting Husqvarna,

It sounds like the safety switch may have a malfunction. I would recommend taking the machine to an authorized service center and have it evaluated. You can find a local center on our web site.

    Thanks again.

I Think you could give better answers not that just to take to an authorized center, How bout it could be the attachment clutch switch or even  the switch ignition. Instead of sending them to a dealer where it will cost a lot more, why not give a couple suggestions of what it could be.

We tried replacing the PTO switch and the seat switch, things only got worse, before it was just dying when we went to engage the blade it would blow a fuse, now since we changed the parts out not only does it blow fuses when we pull the pto switch to on, it also quits when we try to take the brake off even when the pto switch is not out. When it first quit we could still drive it around the yard we just couldn't cut the gas, now it will do nothing, it will run and stay running but just sit there. That's what happens when a friend talks about maybe giving it a bath haha. If I ever get it fixed I will try to remember to come back in here to tell ya'll what exactly the problem is since no one else on here seems to care to tell anything but go to the dealer.
