    Question:
Purchased a 123HD60 hedge trimmer. During first use I hit a branch larger than the trimmer could handle and it killed the motor. The motor would restart, but when pressing the throttle trigger the blades do not move. I've checked the manual, but there is no answer there. Is there a clutch reset or something to that effect on gasoline-powered trimmers? Again motor's fine but the blades don't work.

    Tks

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

There is not a reset on the clutch, my suspicion is that part of the cutter became twisted or damaged on the edge and is hitting the mating cutter edge. Likely you will need to find the damage and ever so slightly file the burr or nick out of the blade. Before attempting this make sure the unit is off and has cooled down also you need to wear heavy gloves as the cutters are very sharp. If you are unable to determine where the problem is you will need to take the hedge trimmer in for service.
