    Question:
What is the correct epoxy - etc to use to glue broken plastic on the
chainsaw. Tank Assy 5300015906 has been discontinued.
Mine is Broken at the base of the trigger grip, just below where the trigger pin is located.
Trying to determine what kind of plastic used on chainsaw in order to apply the correct glue. What about JB Weld PlasticWeld?

Its HDPE plastic and there is nothing available to the consumer that will glue it. Welding is the only option.

      Are sure of your PN?

        Thanks Eugene for your info.

The pn for the Tank Assy should be 530052446.

I was wondering what type of Plastic it was.

I've not welded plastic. Would a BernzOmatic  P Propane Torch Work.

Just fuse the cracked area? Or is should I get a piece of HDPE Plastic to melt onto the crack?

No, a torch will not work as you can not precisely control the temperature and it the plastic get to hot it becomes brittle from near burning temperature plus you are dealing with a gas tank which can be explosive when exposed to open flame.

Also it you the melted plastic on your skin it can create some very nasty burns. Advise only letting a confident plastic welder do this work.
