    Question:
Hello everyone, new owner here, I have the YTH 1942, 42 inch deck, I recently bent the left blade and just replaced it today, my question is no matter how loose I keep the bolt, the blade does not spin freely/easily and the right blade which was not damaged spins freely/easily, upon engaging the blades they both spin, however the left blade which I just replaced, slows down much quicker than the right blade. Is it possible something else is damage or is this a normal condition?

    Thank you

Check the RH blade brake. It might be bent or missing completely. Both blade brakes press against their respective spindle pulley when the deck is disengaged. Safety Feature

Page 14 Item 63 Also Item 147 is in place.

Also rare but needs checking is if the LH spindle shaft bent. Is so the blade wobble upon it axis.
