    Question:
What are the differences between the 435e chainsaw and the 435e series II chainsaw? Is the 435e still being manufactured & if not, when did they stop?

I don't all the differences or when they started with the improved model. But the notice outward difference that is easily noticed is the fuel and oil caps. The older models had the screw in caps and the new model has twist lock caps similar to the Stihl caps.

Things like a new crankcase design due fuel and oil caps and a new ignition coil are couple other changes that spotted on a quick glace at the IPLs

Thank you for this info. Any idea why they went to a new ignition coil?

The new coil was introduce with serial number s/n 20175000002 (North America ) so it would be in 2017. It wasn't add to rest of the world (RoW) version until 2018. Note the new coil is backwards compatible on the 435E-II so if the older coil is order it will supersede to the new one.
