    Question:
Why would a Poulan Pro 1500 that cost me 159.95 only have less than a year of warranty on it, and the weedeater SST25 that I have just purchased at 89.95 have a warranty of 2 years. Both are made by the same company ?

    Chester,

Both the P1500 and SST25 carry the following warranty.

2 YEARS - Parts and Labor, when used for household purposes.

90 DAYS - Parts and Labor, when used for commercial, professional, or income producing purposes.

30 DAYS - Parts and Labor, if used for rental purposes.

I believe these warranties for these two models have been the same for several years.  Just keep in mind that the warranty coverage starts the date of sale and is not transferable.  Please refer to your Owner's Manual for full details of the Limited Warranty Policy.
