    Question:
Last spring, I purchased a Weed Eater Blower/Vac, Serial# 10262D. The unit worked well and last fall, I converted it to a vac and it still worked well. I converted it back to a blower recently and noticed a vibration/sound that was not there before. Upon checking, I noticed that there appeared to be a NUTT missing on the shaft of the spinning cylinder. The cylinder will slip down the shaft and hit the housing. When it spins, it makes the noise and smokes.

    What can I do?

    Thannk,

     John,

Thanks for contacting Husqvarna to post your questions.

As you found, excess vibration usually is an indication that something about the unit is out of specification. In your case you indicated it appeared to be a missing nut.

Do not continue to use the unit as significant damage can be done to the components.

You should deliver the unit to an authorized Weed Eater/Poulan service dealer ASAP to have the condition corrected before the unit suffers physical damages.

You can identify the authorized service dealers in your area through the Service Locator link on the Poulan website.
