    Question:
Battery charging and battery life for a XT721FE mower.
    Details:

Just bought a new Husqvarna XT721FE mower.  What happens if you use it before charging the battery?  If mowing doesn't recharge it, can I expect it to work all summer from one 24 hour charge?  Also, does it need to be charged for 24 hours again in the spring after setting all winter?  Will charging it for 48 hours before storing it all winter really be enough to keep it from going completely dead?  My dad has another brand mower with electric start and he can remove his battery and keep it on a trickle charge all winter.  The manual does not give much info on the battery.

Thank you for contacting Husqvarna's Answer Army.

We regret the lack of detailed information in the Manual concerning battery maintenance.

We do understand there is no on-board charger for the battery - it must be remotely recharged at intervals.

With infrequent starts, charging may only be required a couple times per summer, but if you are bagging and restarting the engine frequently after emptying the grass bag, you might need to charge the battery overnight every third or fourth use.
