Question:

I purchased a 338xpt California model Chainsaw, on Ebay, nothing came with it. The Plate on the saw states PN 965 25 12-00 and SN 04 5100174. I believe the correct IPS (Part Sheets) is 2004 08. What is the correct OM to download from the Husqvarna website?

Thanks for contacting us through the Answer Army, I was able to track down a California OM for your saw. I've attached a link below where you can view the OM of the 338xpt. Make sure you are using high test gas and using a Husqvarna 2-cycle oil to mix your gas 50:1. If this was a used saw you have purchased make sure your oiler is in working order to avoid experiencing failures from the bar and chain. Enjoy your new Husqvarna saw!

  Thank You for the information. I had looked at the different OM's at Husqvarna website and wanted to make sure I got the right one. It is used and I need to give it a complete cleaning and going to try the 50Fuel recommended by Tim Ard. Been a longtime Husqvarna user having a 371XP, 335XPT, 323R Trimmer / Brushcutter and a LGT25K54 Garden Tractor.
