    Question:
My 235 chainsaw is brand new and won't start
    Details:
I pulled it out of the box, added fuel/oil and chain oil, and it won't even try to start. I've left it and tried thinking 3 different times (thinking I may have flooded it) but it doesn't even try and start with the full choke on. Thoughts?

Sorry you are experiencing issues with your chain saw.

Please follow your operator's manual for correct starting procedure.

Please contact an authorized Husqvarna dealer in your area for evaluation and repair.

      Thanks.

I had the same problem with my brand new 460 Rancher.  Need to follow the exact steps outlined in the owner's manual.  Deviate from that procedure, and I ran into trouble, couldn't start the saw.

However, follow the procedure, and it will always start on the second or third pull, remembering when you hear the "puff" sound like it just about started, pushing in the decompression valve button again is a fatal flaw.

mr. Carlson,  of course you know how to start a chainsaw.  only a Husqvarna rep would suspect that could be the problem. Husqvarna sends saws out into the market with bad compression relief valves.  when the valve sticks open, it doesn't matter what you try to do to start the saw, it will not compress enough air to ignite the mixture. they sent the same problem to me.  I am a professional mechanic that re-builds/repairs chainsaws.  Husqvarna uses the same supplier of their valves to this very day, because they are stupid.  I hope they got your saw fixed up for you.

      good luck...
