Question:
Husqvarna yth2148: Lawn mower cranks and runs until I release clutch or engage blades. I have replaced the kill switch under the seat & mower operated great for one and a half hours. Then I removed the switch and tied the wires together to bypass the switch, but still the problem persists. My lawnmower has been used for a total of 45.3 hours. I would like to remove the entire kill switch system since I am a petite person (5'2" & 105 lbs.) and every time I bounce slightly in the seat (when the mower actually worked), the kill switch does it's job. Please help. I am so frustrated. I can not afford to carry it to a dealer for service since I lost my job. And besides, with only 45 hours of use, it should be running perfectly.
Answer
Sorry, this is not an answer. This is to ask the same question as the frustrated lady above. I have a mower, tractor - model no, (917.24040470), product no. LTGT24K54, which has 38 operating hours. This mower stops running after cutting for about 10 to 15 minutes and then cuts out seconds to a few minutes of cutting from that point on. The owners manual says a possible cause is cutting to fast. However, it did not have this problem until now at the rabbit speed. I bought this mower to get the lawn cut faster than in the past. I hope the solution is not cutting at a slow rate. Is there possibly something else wrong??? Thanks John Alberts
