    Question:
My poulan pro 17" Straight shaft grass trimmer model PP130 was purchased April 1st 2013. I am now having difficulty cranking it. The pull rope has to be pulled almost all the way out before it will start and it has begun to shut down if it is set down for a second. I would like to know if this is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. If it is how would I go about using the warranty to fix my trimmer. I really don't know where to start the process at all I have never had trouble with my Poulan products before.

I have the PP133 which was purchased from Sears August 2012. It states the pull rope and other things are not covered in the manual.  However, there is no comment or other indication about gas related issues not being covered. We, Poulan Pro customer service 800.554.6723, their authorized service warranty center and I; all know this is a carburetor issue. While they claim their new warranty documentation excludes gas related issues, this is not in my manual.  Their authorized service warranty center attempted to vindicate Poulan Pro/Husqvarna by explaining a new brigs and stratton warranty class, ethanol in the Mid-West states and the size of small engine low power(small) and high power(larger) carburetor intake jets.

Please let everyone know: Husqvarna and Gardena are CORE brands

      while:
McCulloch – Premium forest and garden products for demanding consumers.
PoulanPro – Premium forest and garden products for demanding consumers.
Zenoah – Professional products and high-performance products for consumers.
Jonsered  – Professional products and high-performance products for consumers.
Diamant Boart – A complete range of diamond tools for processing natural stone.
      WeedEater – Consumer products.
      Flymo – Electric consumer products.
Klippo – Professional products and high-performance products for consumers.

are their other brands to avoid.

Competition is keen today in all markets and there is little reason to buy anything the manufacturer won't even stand behind.
