Is the poulan 2900 chainsaw the same saw as the poulan pro 4620?

Hi and thanks for using the Answer Army to post your question.
The short answer is no they are not the same saw, but the 2900 has been out of production for several years. The two saws do share someof the same parts including the bar and chain. The warranty coverage is much different though, the Poulan units only carry a 1 year warranty on parts and labor where as the Poulan Pro carries a 2 year warranty.
The 4620 is also available with a tool-less chain adjustment where the 2900 is the old fashioned bar nuts.
