    Question:
I have a yth22v46 lawn tractor. The engine wont start, I believe the fuse may have blown. I cannot find the fuse under the hood like the manual says. I even removed the gas tank to see if it was hidden behind it. Any help would be really appreciated.

According to the IPL the is located somewhere between the ignition switch and the solenoid. It is along the smaller red wire. If I remember correctly it is on the right sight side of the operation station, Sorry can't help pin point the exact location it been a while since I worked on one of these.

An alternate way and easier way to check if the fuse is good is by listening for clicking of the fuel solenoid at the carburetor as turn ignition on and off. If you hear this solenoid clicking then the fuse is okay; otherwise, you would then need to find the fuse.

If the above is okay then you need to test to see if power is getting to the starter solenoid. You may need a helper to do this. The white on the solenoid should around +12 vdc when the PTO switch is off with brake/clutch pedal held down and the ignition switch is held in stater position. The black wire at the starter solenoid is it ground connection. Depending on the solenoid setup it may not be there as some solenoid are ground through their base plate; just need to verify that the solenoid is grounded.  If the voltage is there then check for power at the starter terminal. If none there then you have a bad solenoid.

If the power is not at the solenoid white terminal when the switches are operated as above then start checking for power along the white wire at the ignition switch, brake switch, and the PTO switch. Don't for get to check both sides at the brake and PTO switches The black wires these switches are the engine shutdown and not part of the starter circuit.
