    Question:
The throttle on my 223L trimmer seems to be stuck. When first purchased, the choke would not go into the lowest setting. Now, the throttle will not move at all.

Thank you for contacting Answer ARMY.

This sounds like the throttle cable is no longer in its track or something is broken, please take to your local Husqvarna authorized service center for evaluation.

You can find your local Husqvarna dealers for sales and service and parts as well as manuals using the link.

Husqvarna branded two stroke units require 50:1 oil ratio.

Your local dealer is your best and fastest source of information.

      Thanks Scott,

I appreciate your response, however; the cable is intact. I was going to take a look at it myself, but was concerned I might void the warranty if I open it up. It seems as if the choke is sticking (or stuck in this case). I have had the trimmer for a week, and only used it for a test-run when first out of the box.

Actually you do not void the warranty, unless you cause the damage, I dont recommend that you perform any service work on it though.

If it is a defect in materials and or workmanship it is our responsibility to make the repairs and they should be free of charge, if the unit was damaged somehow by a drop or environment that is not considered warranty and the charges would be the operators responsibility. I would think this would be a warrantable issue. That handle is tricky and even dealers may have difficulty reinstalling the return spring, this is why I don't recommend for you to attempt service and if it is something wrong with the choke that most likely means removing the carburetor which frequently would require a new gasket or other parts.

        Thanks Again,

I was just eager to use it again, I have a Craftsman that is very heavy, and purchased this one because a friend has one, and when I used it I was convinced I needed a 233L… I will take it to the shop for repair.

        Thanks again.
