Okay I thought I had already posted this, but I can't find it so sorry if a double topic pops up.
I just purchased the HU800HW and how much oil does the Honda Engine hold and what is the recommended amount for oil fill from the factory?
The Manual gives the oil weights to use, but nothing else and I would like to purchase oil per the correct quantity recommendation from the factory.
I bought mine at Sears, and it comes with an SAE 30 oil bottle prefilled with 15 ounces of oil. The directions say
to pour the entire contents of oil into the oil spout.
Hope this answers your question (I live in GA, and in this climate either 10W30 or SAE 30 is acceptable).
Sincerely,
DOUG
Thank you for contacting Answer ARMY.
Anytime the question concerns the engine we deffer to the engine manufacturer in this case Honda. I did find in the operators manuals two different recommended quantities for oil. It is not recommended to use quantity for oil but to use the dipstick to ensure the correct amount of oil is in the engine.
