    Question:
    Is there a recoil starter on this mower if the battery dies? If not, can you get it started without waiting for the battery to charge. Also, does the battery charge during use or does it have to be plugged into and electrical outlet?

    The SmartCut, does not include a recoil starter. The unit was designed as electric start only.

    The battery is charged while the engine is running at wide open throttle.
