How do you repair an engine cord that is stuck extended?
Details:
I have gotten all the way down to what looks like 2 magnets held by a spring circle that keeps the magnets located around the center. There is a lever that points to the OFF direction and keeps the magnets from moving up and down on the shaft.

I am not sure by the description what parts you are describing, however we do NOT recommend any consumer attemtp to service the recoil starter system because of the danger associated with the recoil spring.
