Question:

I own a HL 1027 (STEB) snowblower that I need to make repairs on the auger drive gearbox. My manual calls for Exxon Ronex ED #1 grease to be installed in the gearbox but I cannot locate a vendor that carries that type of grease. Does anyone have a lead on where to get that from, either from Husqvarna or somewhere else? Or a Husqvarna approved equivalent?

RONEX™ MP is a lithium complex, mineral oil based multipurpose grease that can be used in a wide range of automotive and industrial applications. RONEX MP grease has good performance over a wide temperature range, and provides moderate load carrying, extreme pressure properties, water resistance, oxidation stability, and rust and corrosion protection. It is NLGI GC-LB qualified for use as a wheel bearing and chassis grease.

Any multi-use Lithium EP-2 Grease can be used although just might not be orange in color. Check with your local automobile part suppliers for one that would compatible.
