Question:
I bought Husqvarna Poula pro5524ES snowblower 5 years ago. It was only being used for a couple seasons. When I used the recent big snow storm in Maryland two days, the oil leaked very badly from underneath of recoil chamber. Now every time I filled it back, it leads or flooded immediately, is the oil seal worn out? How hard to fix it? Very appreciate if someone can give me advice.

PS. I have a very long driveway (500 ft)
Answer
FIrst have you determined that is not a fuel leakage problem causing the crankcase to overfill?
If it is not an overfill problem then yes it is possible that the flywheel side seal is bad. It would require removing the flywheel at least to access the seal area. Depending on your mechanical ability it is fairly easy to do as long you know what your doing.

Hi Eugene,
Thank you for your response. Is the fly wheel behind the recoil housing?

Hi Eugene,
I need your help more more time. I was able to take the snowblower to the fly wheel. However, I was unable to take down the fly wheel. Do you know anything I was missing. I attached a picture of the fly wheel.
Very regards,

It appears that you have Tecumseh LH195SP-67510D engine and don't have the integrated flywheel brake.
Thread the appropriate flywheel knock-off tool part # 670103, (7/16") or part # 670169 (Tecumseh part numbers)
(1/2") on the crankshaft until it bottoms out, then back off one complete turn. Using a large screwdriver, lift
upward under the flywheel and tap sharply and squarely on the knock-off tool to break the flywheel loose. If
necessary, rotate the flywheel a half turn and repeat until it loosens.
