    Battery charing problems on a 2346XLS Tractorescalated9
Service & Maintenance Question posted September 25, 2012 by David Risinger
    Question:
Battery charing problems on a 2346XLS Tractor
    Details:

Have a Husqvarna Tractor MODEL NUMBER 2346XLS (96043004500) which won't charge the battery.

Have a new battery, and we switch out the new and the old battery which probably wasn't bad to begin with, so we're assuming not a bad battery.

Tractor will start with a charged battery just fine.  Husq tech support thought not a solenoid issue since it will run the starter when it has enough power.

After mowing for a while, the tractor will sputter to a stop and the battery is dead.  When the problem first arose, we could get through the whole yard, but the battery was normally dead or too weak to start the tractor the following week when we went to use it.

In question are the stator and regulator.
Does anyone know if the regulator is easily replaceable?  Outside of the engine?  I can't find anything on the engine that 'looks' like a regulator.  The regulator shows on the schematic, but no part # is anywhere in the manual.

Does anyone know what approximate repair $ we're talking if the stator is bad?  I'm assuming it's  internal to the engine  and difficult to access.

Anyone have any troubleshooting ideas?  I don't have any manuals that pin points any of the pieces in the engine.
The Solenoid is easy to find, as well as the starter.

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide...

Service & Maintenance Question posted August 12, 2018 by Gerry Waterson
    Question:
I was replacing the V belt on my Husqvarna LTH 130 (9541401017A)and accidentally knocked the Idler spring extension off what it was attached to at both ends. I connect one end to what I think is the hole on the pulley end and attach the other end to what I think it goes to but doing that causes the V belt to rub against the spring which is not good. I spent hours looking at photographs and see hundreds of pictures but all have a different hole on the mower deck and none show my exact model.
    Details:

The belt isn't in the picture but it rubs across the top of the spring of the idler pulley when installed. The Mandrel pulley is to the right at the top of the photo.

Service & Maintenance Question posted June 6, 2015 by Bob Richards
    Question:
Purchased a Husqvarna LTH18538 in 2015. I'm looking to remove the cutting deck but can't figure out how to disassemble deck engagement cable from it's deck bracket. It does not have a retainer spring or slide collar(items K & L)as depicted in the online manual. It appears to be secured in an open-end slot with no obvious way to remove it. Can anyone help?

    Thanks,

    bojo3919 (Bob)
    Details:

This pic was taken with a mirror as I could not view cable from opposite side.  I apologize for the poor quality but I think it may be showing two squeeze tabs that may be the secret to removal...opinion?

    Question:
Before I ask a question again, has anyone had any success with this forum?

I have posted questions with no answers,

I have looked through other people's questions for answers to their issues and see no worth while reply other than "take your equipment to an authorized repair facility",

    Question:
purchased GT52XLS today. Vibrates (without blades on,sitting still) so bad, that all 4 gauge wheels and center anti-scalp roller spin at fast rpm and make a lot of racket. Is this normal for the Kaw motor or should I return to store? Thanks

Service & Maintenance Question posted March 22, 2018 by Tommy Yarbrough
    Question:
I'm guessing perhaps this is a 4-5 year old RZ-5424, model 965881301. New solenoid (3 pole), new ignition switch,(7 pole). I must point out that I had previously smoked a first solenoid as I was attaching the last battery terminal. Of course, I had to go buy a second one. was only a 1-2 second contact, yet a wire melted a little, so it was black taping

We have a single large red (only),from one solenoid pole to the starter. The other large red from the + battery side is accompanied by a much smaller red to the other solenoid pole, with a single, small yellow spade clip in the middle. Finally, a small black out of the harness to ground (to the Allen screw mount of the solenoid).

No headlights. The harness connect of the blade engage (safety) switch has 2 of it's 8 holes that are hollow, yet there are pins on the switch itself FOR those wire harness holes. ???. A 7 pin ignition switch is OK in that regard.

It has 1 or 2 of it's own idiosyncrasies. You have to pull the choke all the way up when the key is first turned. But then it's a feel thing to work the choke until it is running.

SO, as I turn the key to start it, it keeps popping the 20-amp fuse under the seat. NEVER the other 7.5 amp. The 20 EACH and EVERY time. That is my stopping point...over and over, without starting.

I've had virtually NO problems for the first 3-5 summers from this machine, but I'm at a loss here. I'm obviously no expert. Ideas?? It's grass cuttin' time y'all, and I SURE AS HECK can't afford any $50 an hour repairman.

Service & Maintenance Question posted January 15, 2018 by Daryl Chesterman
    Question:
I have a Husqvarna YTH2348 mower with the B & S 23HP Intek engine and Husqvarna calls for a Champion QC12YC plug gapped at .040. Briggs & Stratton calls for 4910556S which is a Champion RC12YC gapped to .030. My question is which do I use and what gap do I set it at. Also, what should the torque be for the spark plugs. Thank you!

    Question:
Can't find where the end with the washer and cotter pin of the brake rod connect.

    Details:

My friend disconnected the brake rod from the Huskvarna YTH 24K48 so we could access other assemblies. Now the mower is back together and everything seems to work but we can't find where the end with the washer and cotter pin of the brake rod connect.

The brake pedal seems to need a bit more assistance to return to fully disengaged so it may need this rod connected to give it more upward movement, but we can't see what it hooks into?

I have attached a URL with a picture of the part (C29). The part goes from front to rear on the mower. The front connects to the left to right assembly which is operated by the actual brake pedal, it's the rear 'L' shaped end which had a washer and cotter pin that we cannot find a connection point for.

Select the "Drive" section to see part #C29.

Can someone post a picture of where/how it connects. Thank you
