Service & Maintenance Question posted December 5, 2017 by joe johnston
    Question:
I purchased a PR550N21SH in august. It took 3 pulls to start the first time, 6 pulls the second time, and 10 the third time. The fourth time it would not start at all. I had surgery and could not use it until November and it would not start. Plenty of gas and oil and the spark plug appears good. The serial number is 17 0612 51 8557 and the MFG ID is 96132010101. Any help would be appreciated.

    Question:
The blade sheared the 5 points off the blade adapter on my mower, model HU675AWD. It ejected the blade out of the side of the mower. It is under warranty. How can I get a replacement part, or get my mower fixed?

    Question:
I just received a brand new poulan lawn mower. The lever on the wheel that allows you to change the height is on backwards. I have tried to get the wheel off but I am unable to take apart. Are there any suggestions on what I could do to get that part off? You have to take not only the wheel off but the bar that goes across the bottom of lawn mower. I can't figure out how to do it.

    Question:
I just used my PoulanPro PR675AWD all wheel drive for the first time. Is it possible to adjust and/or lengthen the cable that engages the drive? I can only move the lever about an inch before the mower starts to take off. It is hard to keep up with mowing around trees and my hands are sore from trying to move slowly while being spread so far open. I noticed some sort of coupling in the middle of the cable but I am not sure that if I attempt to adjust it that I would do any good.

Parts Question posted August 29, 2016 by Doug Koehler
    Question:
Yesterday I purchased a Husqvarna HU800AWDX/BBC walk-behind mower. Within an hour of using it, My wife managed to break what I believe is called the BBC control bail. I found a parts breakdown online and the part number appears to be 587 56 41-15.

No dealer or service center in my area has this part in stock. Many did not even have a parts breakdown for this model (961450029 00). I was told even if they had the part in stock, there are other people ahead of me and it could be 2 weeks before my mower is repaired.

I have tried contacting all the Husqvarna parts distributors I could find online but none of them have this part and say it will be 2-3 weeks before they will receive the part, and another 3-8 days to ship it to me.

Where can I get this part? It looks to be a 5 minute replacement. My yard is currently half- mowed.

How can I get help with denial of warranty?
Warranty Question posted June 13, 2016 by Angela Parsley
    Question:
How can I get help with denial of warranty?
    Details:

I purchased a Poulan Pro walk behind mower on 5/17/2016. Used it three times and then quit working. The mower stopping running and all the oil leaked out. On closer inspection, I could see there was a crack in the engine mount right below the oil chamber. I purchased it from Menard's and they sent me to a service provider who said I must have ran over something and that's it's not repairable under warranty. Basically I am out $200. I don't recall running over anything. I can't understand how this mower can be put together so cheaply that it breaks on the third use from normal use. Where can I go from here. I can't afford to purchase another mower!

General Product Question posted June 29, 2015 by Bailey92
    Question:
Mower blade discharged from underneath the mower while mowing.
    Details:

I purchased a Husqvarna HU800AWD mower from Lowes this May and initially was happy with the purchase.  This changed yesterday when my wife was out mowing the yard (June 27th), she called up to me and stated the mower blade had just shot out from under the mower and flew about 20 feet.

Luckily the blade was discharged out the side of the mower and not the back of the mower where it would have caused a serious injury.

I took a look and initially thought the bolt holding the mower had come lose and fallen out, but on closer examination, it appears the bolt sheared off and released the blade.

My understanding is that there are typically shear pins on the drive shaft of a mower blade in the case you hit something, but it wouldn't shear the bolt holding the blade on.  This seems like a serious issue and a concern for others that also own this type of mower.

We have used the mower 3 times.  Our yard is not perfect, and I am sure we have hit a few rocks, but no more than with any other mower we've owned over the past 20 years.

We purchased the mower at Lowes in Hudson, MA and brought it back.. the best they could do is send it out for service to get it repaired as it was 10 days past their 30 day return policy.  I understand they were following their policy, but were somewhat disappointed with the outcome.

Needless to say, I am OK getting it repaired, but am a bit nervous about mowing my lawn with this mower going forward.  I know for certain my wife won't be using the mower.
