Question:
In February of 2016, I purchased a new Poulan Pro (model#PB175A46). In September I began experiencing the engine stumbling like it was running out of gas, it would do this for awhile and then sputter and stop running. I discussed this with my local repair shop and was told to just pull the carburetor and clean it, that this was a fuel problem and not covered by warranty. Basically, he just blew me off.
I changed the filter and discovered that when this problem presents itself, the filter has run dry like it has a vapor lock, there is usually at least a half tank of gas when it quits running.
I don't want to tear the carburetor down and take a chance on voiding my warranty...what should I do. Can you give me an indication of what the real problem is and whether there is a fix that doesn't cost me a fortune.
Remember: I BOUGHT THIS MACHINE IN FEBRUARY, IT IS ONLY 8 MONTHS OLD AND THIS SHOULD BE COVERED THROUGH WARRANTY I SHOULD THINK!
