ST230P Auger Belt broken after light usage23100%
Service & Maintenance Question posted February 24, 2015 by William Downs
    Question:
ST230P Auger Belt broken after light usage
    Details:

I live in Boston, MA area and bought an ST230P 1/25/2015.  Biggest problem I am having is that the auger belt broke after about 10 - 15 hours total operation. (Worked great until belt broke).  Searched up and down all local dealers and belt manufactures for replacement with no luck.  Closest I could get was a rubber v-belt with same dimension.  This belt broke after about 5 minutes operation.

I believe the cause of belt wear on my machine is the belt guide on the idler arm opposite the idler pulley.  The guide pulls the belt off the auger drive pulley to tension it when the lever is pressed to engage auger. Unless it was installed wrong?

Anyone else experience similar problems with auger belt??

Service & Maintenance Question posted November 10, 2016 by Geoffrey McIntyre
    Question:
ST 224 oil capacity. The manual states 1 quart, but after I thoroughly drained and filled with actually a little less than 1 quart, the dip stick indicates the oil level is WAY above the full mark. I'm guessing the oil capacity is closer to 2 cups. Is that even possible? Is the manual so far off?

    Question:
I just bought an 1830EXL with the 414cc Snow King engine and after reading the owner's manual and the engine manual I am still a little confused about something. The engine has two oil caps/tubes on it; a high one and a lower one. Is the high tube used for filling the engine oil while the lower tube is used for checking the oil level? Thanks.

10530SBE Snowblower Auger Belt Slipping. MODEL:96195000101...escalated3
Service & Maintenance Question posted December 17, 2013 by Thad
    Question:
10530SBE Snowblower Auger Belt Slipping. MODEL:96195000101 S#110205M605302. I have had problems with the auger belt slipping due to not enough tension being applied to the belt since it as purchased in Feb 2006. Replaced the belts it least 3 times. The Impeller Arm was replaced in 2010 due to weak design (original part # 532 17 92-59) can't remember however I think it was bent. The new part # 532 18 47 89 for the Impeller Arm/Pad Assembly looked to be a better design. Guess what I still have the same problem with slippage. Now in 2013 I see the design has changed again the new part # 532 42 27 62 and the description has changed to KIT SERVICE IDLER PULLEY. Will this new kit take care of the issue with slippage?? I hate to keep throwing parts at this machine. The kit includes a pulley, what is this for Engine Shaft or Impeller Arm? Why is a belt included in this kit?? If this can't be answered I will supply more info pics etc. hopefully I can put this problem to rest. see 2 pics of impeller arm that was removed from service and the latest revision impellar arm KIT

Service & Maintenance Question posted November 18, 2014 by Chris Deming
    Question:
    Handwarmers and Headlights not working.

I have an ST227P Husqvarna snowblower. 27 inch, 2 stage w/ handwarmer and dual LED headlights. Just purchased, used 1 time and the handwarmers and headlights are not working and have not worked. Without killing myself and tearing things apart does anyone have any suggestions on an easy fix? Is there a fuse I am not seeing? A simple connection that might be off? Husqvarna solution is to load it into my truck and drive to a dealer which is 25+ miles away. I think it must be a simple fix? Thanks for any help you can provide.

The power steering triggers on my new Husqvarna Snow Blower...escalated5
Service & Maintenance Question posted February 10, 2013 by John Belli
    Question:
The power steering triggers on my new Husqvarna Snow Blower model 1830 EXLT are impossible to engage, the triggers will not move. Is there a fix for this problem?
    Details:

I am afraid too much force may break something.  I called the Husqvarna dealer/service facility, explained the problem, and received the comment "I heard a little bit about this issue; you must bring it in."

The machine is still under waranty, however, I am holding off the service visit (10 day turnaround) until the snow season has ended. Is there anything I can do: lubrication, adjustment, etc.  The triggers work just fine when the drive handle is NOT engaged.

I need to drain gas out of my Husqvarna ST230P snowblower....3
Service & Maintenance Question posted April 30, 2016 by Paul D
    Question:
I need to drain gas out of my Husqvarna ST230P snowblower. As a new owner, I let gas stay in the tank for two months without running the snowblower, and now it will not start (didn't add stabilizer either - rookie mistake I've learned). What is the best way to drain the tank - use a siphon pump? Thanks for your help.

    Question:
How do I change the spark plug on my st227p snow blower. I must have flooded the engine on my first try starting it as it is brand new a year ago and I have not tried to start it until yesterday. I have fresh gas in it.

I have just bought A Husqvarna Snow Blower ST230E and was wondering what spark plug it takes. In the manual is give a champion Number 696798 but not sure what that is. I have taken the plug out and it has a RC12PYP3. I was woundering if that is the only plug I can use or are there others. The plug is not a easy one to find and is around 8.00 a plug.

New Husqvarna Snow Blower (ST 121E) is hard to push!...Answeredescalated1
Service & Maintenance Question posted January 23, 2012 by tony dan
    Question:
New Husqvarna Snow Blower (ST 121E) is hard to push! How to fix this?
    Details:

My father-in-law bought a new Husqvarna ST 121E. He is a 6'4 dude (and a contractor!) but finds it really hard to pull the snow blower.

He took it to the local dealer in Chicago and they found nothing wrong. Because there was no snow is December (when he bought it), the return policy expired. The dealer offered 50% of the price he paid, which is ridiculous.

Can anyone help in explaining how to fix this (is there something stuck in the whells or something), or how can he return the machine. Thank you. Tony
