General Product Question posted November 19, 2011 by David Parmeter
    Question:
The trigger controlled steering on my 1830 EXLT is less than smooth. Sometimes the triggers are stuck and difficult to pull. Sometimes they seem totally in-effective, and I end up trying to steer it by pulling the handle bars left or right...and that's no easy task with this heavy machine. What gives?

    Question:
I just bought a snow thrower 14527E. I was using it and the fourth day.The left wheel sheered at the coupler where it sets into drive unit. It is at the dealer waiting for the new wheel 3/07/11.The dealer also has the same unit there with a slip in clutch or drive mechanisam.I hope I do not have lot of problems, this is a 1500.00 peice of equipment.

The other input is the shift lever for the foward & reverse.
The linkage is very sloppy and binds, you have shift it very slow, so it will not bind. The left and right steering cabling
is also sloppy. It does not engage & disneage smoothly.
    Details:

I have been in manufacturing industry for over 20 yrs. It is hard not be critical of products that I buy. This includes small and large purchases.

General Product Question posted January 22, 2016 by CHRIS VIGNOLA
    Question:
Hello, I recently purchased an ST 227P snowblower with heated grips. Because of the lack of snow fall so far, I have not had to use the unit but one time but I am noticing that the heated grips don't seem to be heating the grips as they should with the switch in the "O" position. I ran it last night for at least 5 minutes just to be sure and they are definitely not getting warm. Any ideas on how I can troubleshoot this problem?

    Thank you!

    Question:
    Husqvarna Snow Blower 12527 HV.
1.Lowes Store have one on display, we couldn't find throttle engine control speed. Can you explain how to control engine speed in 12527HV?
    2. Hasquarna.com showed that this snow blower has 291 cc on Lowes same machine is 250cc. So 12527 HV is 250cc or 291 cc?

General Product Question posted November 6, 2011 by GREG SKOWRONEK
    Question:
New 924HV oil leak? I just got 924HV over a month ago, when i picked it up from the dealer the oil level was at full. I store it in the shed for over a month and today I saw (and smelled it too) a fairly large ( around 10 shoe size) paddle of oil underneath it. i tipped it to the side little bit and saw that there were few drops on the plastic cover underneath the thrower. However, i checked the oil level (few times today) and it is still on FULL, exactly as it was a month ago. Any ideas on whats going on?
I had it running for about 10 min after i purchased it to see if it works properly, everything was ok.

General Product Question posted December 6, 2011 by Keston Barrow
    Question:
I just purchased a Husqvarna 1830EXLT. I get the machine to move, but, the auger does not respond when I engage it from the handle bars.

I checked the pins in the auger section and they are not broken. I tried to spin the blades manually and they move with the auger and impeller shaft without restriction.

The only observation that I made is unlike when I engage the traction drive control lever, the auger control lever does not move the control arm at the bottom of the machine (The arm appears to be locked; the auger control rod moves and the spring stretches but the arm does not move). Because the arm at the bottom of the machine is not moving I believe that the auger is not being engaged. If this is the case do you know what could be the cause of this?

    Question:
I recently purchased a Poulan Pro PP291EPS30 snowblower with a LCT Snow engine. IT has both a start and stop switch plus an insertable plastic key. When I shut the machine off using the start/stop switch, I have to remove the plastic key, wait a few seconds and then reinsert it before the machine will start again. Why can I not just use the start/stop switch ???

General Product Question posted September 8, 2012 by Chris Armour
    Question:
Hello, I'm in the market for a snowblower. I did a lot of research online for the brands/models that will meet my needs and wants. B&S engine, 28-30" width, handwarmers, cast iron gear case, preferably some sort of steering, appx $1500, etc.... I then went out to the stores to check out the machines. First stop was Lowes, to check out the John Deere models. Husqvarna was honestly at the bottom of my list due to the models listed on thier webpage, the only model on thier webpage that comes close is the 27" 14527E(The B&S engine is a #1 priority). So anyway, I get to Lowes and I see the Husqvarna ST230E. 30", 342cc B&S engine, handwarmers, standard drift cutters, LED Headlamp, steering control, not sure if the gear case is cast iron or not(anyone got an answer?), $1300. I was in shock. How did I miss this model on the website? How is this thing only $1300? Well, I missed it because its not the Husky webpage, does anyone have any info on this snowblower? Has Husqvarna just not updated thier online info yet? Or, is it a special "Lowe's only" model? For only $1300, were any corners cut compared to the competition, for instance, how much does it weigh? I know one area where money was saved is the chute adjustment, all mechanical, which I prefer anyways. Any answers to my questions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Chris

General Product Question posted August 12, 2011 by Rob Levine
    Question:
I am interested in the snowthrower 1830HV. When I compare it to you higher end model it states that higher models have a high speed impeller and heavy duty auger housing.

Can you tell me what the impeller speed difference is between the higher models (ex. 14527E) and 1830HV.

Also, the type of auger housing - what does the 1830HV have as compared to 14527E.

    Thanks.
