Where can I get a repair/rebuild kit for the starter's...Answeredescalated2
Parts Question posted February 14, 2012 by Robert Goodman
    Question:
Where can I get a repair/rebuild kit for the starter's bendix gear set or a new starter? I bought a HV 10530SBE snowblower in 2006 with a Briggs and Stratton 10.5HP OHV "Power Built Snow" engine. It has a Fasco electric starter 524-975-0. The starter is 120V AC and the "case" measures 3 1/2 inches without the end castings. I can not find the engine model number anywhere. I have taken off every trim and cover plate I could and still no model number on the block or valve cover or anywhere else. I have tried B&S and Fasco but they all want an engine model number. A classic catch 22 situation. Thanks

Parts Question posted October 10, 2014 by Kevin
    Question:
Missing Parts for 12527HVX snow thrower. I bought a Husqvarna model 12527HVX (serial 081913M 000738) last winter and it was missing the mounting hardware for the chute extension. I went to the dealer (Lowes) and they said they couldn't help, that I should contact Husqvarna. I called the missing parts phone number and worked with a customer service rep who asked for scanned images of the installation instructions showing the missing parts. I responded but never heard back. A copy of our correspondence is attached. The missing parts phone number no longer works. I'd still like to have the parts to complete my machine. I tried Husqvarna customer support again and was directed here. I need the small metal bars and screws to attach the chute extension. I could make the parts myself, but would like to have the ones that should have been supplied with the machine. Thanks for your help!
    Details:

    Hi Ms. Singh,

Thank you so much for sending the parts diagrams and list.  Sorry for my delay in responding.  I've been out of town on business.

You're correct, the missing parts are not yet in the list.  The chute deflector extension and hardware are not shown on page 29 where part 2, the chute deflector is shown, although the holes for mounting it are shown.  I went back to Lowes and talked to them about the missing parts and they said Husqvarna often omits small parts, but they had the same diagrams you sent to me.  All of the showthrowers of this model at the store have the chute deflector installed as standard.

I've included a scanned image of the instructions for installing the chute extension.  I've added comment boxes to show what I have and what is missing.  As I mentioned on the phone, I have the extension (the rubber part), but not the two bars and four screws that are used to mount it.

Maybe you can contact the group that packages these parts for shipment to get them for me.  I really appreciate all of your help.  I really like the snowthrower and would like to have it assembled completely soon.

    Kevin

    Hi Shanti,

This diagram does not include the discharge chute and related parts, just its base.  The chute mounts on top of the discharge chute base.  Hopefully you have a diagram for that.  Thanks again.

Parts Question posted November 28, 2011 by Bob Scarff
    Question:
I recently purchased a 1830EXL and was told Husqvarna's high performance impeller kit (#532187724) would fit the 27" and 30" models. Well, it doesn't fit the 30" model. The hole diameter of the new impeller pulley is much smaller then the diameter of the engine crankshaft. My question is, does Husqvarna make a high performance impeller kit that works on their 1830EXL 30" model? Thanks, Bob

Any help would be great;y appreciated!

    10530SBE Shear bolt kit discontinued?escalated
Parts Question posted November 13, 2012 by Ken Mitchell
    Question:
    10530SBE Shear bolt kit discontinued?
    Details:

I have a 2005-2006 Husqvarna snowblower model 10530SBE. Last week my son hit something and one of the two front auger shear bolts did it's job. I went to my local Husqvarna dealer to get part number 532 18 82-43, a lkit of 6 shear bolts and 6 locking nuts. They tool the part number and called me today to say it was in.

When I got it, there were 2 bolts, 2 spacers and 2 locking nuts were in a Briggs & Stratton parts bag. They are clearly NOT the same kind of shear bolt as the one that failed, just two simple, common Grade 2 steel 1/4-20 x 2" long cadmium plated hex head bolts, threaded to the head. The bag shows Briggs & Stratton part number 1501216MA.

I was told that the 532 18 82-43 part number was no longer available and this was the replacement. Further, I was told that these are the bolts now used in new machines. A large label inside shows another part number, presumably from the parts warehouse, 601 00 19-86.

What confuses me is that the NEW snowblowers on the sales floor clearly have the gold alodine plated special bolt that have a turned diameter under the flanged head, same os on my machine and as shown in the parts manual. I have a feeling that my Husqvarna dealer bought from a non-authorized warehouse and got "good enough for you" kind of parts.

Is the OEM part 532 18 82-43 truly no longer available, or do I just need to find a dealer who will sell me GENUINE Husqvarna replacement parts?

    Question:
10530SBE snowthrower: Cab and Tire Chains Husqvarna part numbers??
    Details:

I'm looking to buy a cab and snow chains for a 10530SBE snow thrower.  Would like to buy original Husqvarna equipment as opposed to universal fit parts.  Some information is available on the website, but it doesn't say specifically if the parts fit this machine.  I was wondering what the official part numbers were that would fit.
