General Product Question posted July 9, 2011 by Don JQuestion:My Weedeater one has stopped working after a week. I purchased a Weedeater One on 7/01/11. I've used it twice and it worked fine. The last time I used it, I ran out of gas, parked the unit and refilled it the next day. It no longer starts. It won't start using the pull starter (many many pulls) and it makes zero noise when trying the ignition. I've followed the correct procedures (i.e. free control engaged, sitting on seat, parking break set, neutral, and deck clutch disengaged). I've had this unit for less that 2 weeks and I'm on the edge of taking it back to Home Depot. I have had nothing but problems from day one.
First the steering, then the chain coming off.
Then there's a part under the front by the wheel that keeps bending, when it does that you will have one tire facing left and one facing straight.
I have called, all i get told, "TAKE IT TO A SERVICE DEALER" well i did that last yr right after buying it. I got charged. I tried pressing down on the peddle like you would with a car's parking brake but that didn't work. Nobody around to help me, so how does the brake lock & unlock?

Your site indicates this is available at canadian tire stores but the ct web site does not list this mover. YOur site also says its available in kent stores but i dont have any near me. is there anyplace else i can get this mower near me ?

That took three weeks to get replaced. Then the steering went bad and I had to wait to get the redesigned adapter. Then the wheels started locking over in a turn. Then the transmission failed and I had to take the mower 20 miles to a service center who had it over three weeks. Today a rear wheel went flat with another separated valve stem. I took a new tube and the tire to an automobile service station to get it mounted and they pointed out that the tire chords are separating from the rubber on the inside of the tire. The Weed Eater 1 is the worst piece of junk I have ever purchased. What do I have to do to get my money back?
