Warranty Question last edited February 10, 2012 by m norpel in Weed Eater: Ask & Answer > Weed Eater One publicQuestion:Has the we261 transmission been updated so I wont have this problem again?Details:i bought the new rider 7/1 , took it home and it mowed 15 feet before the transmission went out. Both a company employee and a few warranty shops i spoke to said the transmission is a problem and is too weak for the unit. So now i wait as my grass grows butt high and my new mower is in the shop. will the new transmisson be stronger or is it the same as the original one (any updating). thanks, mike
