Service & Maintenance Question last edited February 10, 2012 by Edward Holtz in Weed Eater: Ask & Answer > SmartCut public
I own a Weed Eater Model WELRVBA30 riding mower. I had it for less than two months and the friction wheel wore to the point that I had to have it replaced. Although it was under warranty, I had to get the mower to the repair shop and they were going to charge me $60 to pick it up and bring it back. I was able to get it there, but after it was returned it still did not operate like it did when it was new.

I cannot afford to keep sending this unit back to the shop for adjustment ever week. Can you please provide information that will permit me to adjust and replace when necessary the friction wheel mechanism that drives this mower? I am quite capable of doing the adjustment/repair on the unit.

It is a descent enough mower except for the poorly designed friction wheel driving mechanism.
