    Question:
I have asked a question about a deck height adjustment on a Poulan Pro tractor. So far no response but I would like to extend the question to why there are no residential mowers that will cut to a height of 6 inches as commercial mowers do? If you live in an area south of a line from the Carolinas to Texas then you are aware of this mower short fall. The Poulan Pro PB301 appears to have the space above the deck to increase the cutting height but instead stops at 4 or 4 1/2 inches. Why not be the first residential mower to facilitate those of us who need a higher cut? Because the current solution is to pay 2 to 3 times the cost and buy a commercial mower that is too big and for most lawns is over-kill.

    Question:
I have looked at a Poulan PRO Rider PB301 at Home Depot. I live in Florida and all our grass requires a 5 to 6 inch cut. All the residential mowers I can find cut to 4 or 4 1/2 inch cut. This is too short, taxes the grass, promotes insects, disease, and browning. The Poulan PRO Rider PB301 seems to have the ability to raise the mowing deck to the 6 inch cut height (all others bump up against the mower frame). My question is, with spacers added to the rear threaded height adjustment rods will the front of the mower adjust to that height so the deck and therefore cut will be level.
