    Question:
    I recently purchased a Weedeater electric trimmer and assembled it according to the owners manual, but when using it for the first time I only got about halfway down one side of my house before the shield came off and the bolt that holds it on got lost in the grass and I can't find it.
    The part number for the bolt is 574471601
    Can I get sent a new one or can I be given the size measurements I would need to go buy a replacement one at a hardware store?

    Unfortunately we have no provisions for sending out parts and the size is not listed. The bolt can be purchased at any authorized WeedEater service center and some companies online.

      Same thing happened to me.  Mine took a one inch 10-32 round head machine screw.

      Don't you hate it when the users guide doesn't list the sizes making you pay more to go to the official parts suppliers?

      I can second Jim prefernottosay's answer:

      I purchased a Weed Eater EL-11.  Bolt lost after about 20-30 minutes.  Replaced with a 1-inch 10-32 machine bolt. All is well. Thanks Jim!

      To get the part from Weed Eater is $2.37 + $7.99 shipping for a bolt for a $30-$40 tool.  Amazing.
