I have a model 345 chainsaw with a 18" bar. I just got into wood carving and would like to change the bar to a small round head for more control. I don't know what to get. Can someone please explain the way to go about changing over and what I should get?. Thanks
Answer
What you need is a carving bar setup but you a tip size down to a dime size radius. Basically all you need is the bar, matching chain and sprocket setup.
Here is an example of what you would need as you need to switch over to a .250 pitch chain.
