Walk Behind Lawn Mowers

When I opened the all important 532435345 blade screw (for HU800AWD and many other model), I found the part shown on the picture below. Sorry for a Walmart link: The other sources picture the old screws, not this one, although it is billed as the newest replacement. The lock washer on the picture is probably a joke.

The old screw required the lock washer and the hardened washer (see items 48, 49 and 50 in the diagram linked below). The new screw is simply not long enough to accommodate those washers. Is the new screw good to use without any washers, or how are we supposed to install it?

Hello Husqvarna, all the diagrams found anywhere, including those for the newer models, show the old screw with two washers.
