    Question:
My rancher 455 chainsaw will not start? I replaced the spark plag and it has a good spark. I replaced the fuel filter and the fuel. I removed and cleaned the needle valves with carb cleaner and properly replaced them and it doesn't even sputter. I sprayed carb cleaner into the spark plug hole and still nothing.

    Hi Garrett

Thanks for contacting the Answer Army to post your questions.

There are only a few things a 2 cycle engine needs to run, Fuel, compression and spark. You have checked the spark and fuel, I would recommend having your local dealer check the compression. The compression should be between 125 and 155 lbs. While checking, also have the dealer vacuum and pressure check the case. This information will be needed to continue with the diagnosis of the problem.

Thanks again from the Husqvarna Technical Services Team
