    Question:
    I have disassembled my YTH24K48 riding lawn tractor to remove the leaking fuel tank. Mission accomplished! Now I need to install the new fuel tank and reassemble the tractor. I need step by step instructions concerning how I reassemble the tractor. I took six weeks to tear the machine down, so nothing is fresh in my mind. Needless to say, I am not a Husqvarna YTH24K48 lawn tractor expert. Any, and all, constructive ideas will be greatly appreciated.

      First you have taken notes and pics as you tore it down for there is no real step by step instructions on how the do the reassembly.  These mower are assembled on an assembly line with the workers only knowing their part of the assembly process.

      I haven't put back together an operator disassemble machine in quite a few years. At that time the owner complained to high heavens because I charged him $50 for a all day job whee he brought the mower into the shop in the back of his pickup truck in multiple boxes. From that day I charge full shop for anything like this. Most shops will probably will do the same. It is a major under taking for any shop as many of the techs are just parts replacers.

      Since you have no idea how it goes back together using the IPL it is probably to check local to see they are will to take on the problem.

      Howdy Eugene,

Thank you for your response.  Yes, if I have taken notes and 
photographs, I would not be 'in the boat' that I am.

Question:  What does the fuel tank rest upon or what holds the fuel tank in place?  I hope the fuel tank doesn't vibrate or move around in its place between the frame rails.

        In the IPL (parts manual) page 6 & 7 item 165 is the tank support bar. As to where it is mount your guess is as good as mind as I have never tried to replace the tank though one might come in tomorrow needing one replaced. Hopefully the image helps on at least which direction it is mounted.
