    Why is my Poulan Pro 20" chainsaw using so much bar oil...Answeredescalated

    Why is my Poulan Pro 20" chainsaw using so much bar oil its like every 5 minutes I have to check it or wreak my chain.

    We regret to note a possible problem with the chain oiler system on your unit.

    However, the pump pumping an excessive amount of oil is a very abnormal condition.

    The pumps are positive displacement pumps and the maximum delivery usually is limited and will not be excessive.

    Normally, the oil pump should deliver about 1/2 to 3/4 tank of oil for a tank of fuel used.

    In your case, if the oil is being used up at a much greater rate, we would suggest you deliver the unit to an authorized Poulan Warranty Dealer for evaluation and correction.

    If needed, you can identify the Poulan Service & Parts dealers through the Service Locator link on the website
