    I have a Sears Brushwacker model 358.798281, (240RBD) that lists the ignition module PN 530039145 as now out of production. Can PN 530039143 be used?

    Our system said it can be used on this model but only if it is a 1995 year model.

      I used a 530039143 ignition module on my Sears Bushwacker 358798280.  The plug wire and kill switch connector are on the wrong side, so I had to grind a bit off the cooling fins to create clearance.  So far it's been working great.

      I rescued this machine from the trash after it sat under a house for ~15 years. Cleaned the carb installed new fuel lines and it fired right up.  It's now my favorite weed eater.   Long live the old Husqvarnas!
