    Question:
I have a YTH24V48 riding mower and the front right wheel has now fallen off 3 times and ripped through 3 of the retaining clips that hold it on. There has got to be something wrong that is putting pressure on the clip to get it to fall off. It's now happening about every 10 hours of service. What else could possibly be going on to make this happen. What should I look at replacing? bearings? the wheel?

Without seeing the problem myself, I would say make sure all the washers in place, two small ones and one large and in the correct order. Also check the bearing play and should fairly smooth feeling when the turning wheel . If a lot a of play then the bearings (bushings) needs replacing and depending the amount of wear the spindles themselves. In and out sliding play should be minimal but you need a little for washer to slip as intended.

I have a couple of bearings on order and will put them on the wheel ASAP.  I think it probably is a little wobbly, so new bearings could be the answer.  Thanks!
