Chainsaws

My Poulan Pro PP4218EVX won't start. It is 3 weeks old. I have only used it for light duty. Haven't even cut down a tree with it. I've just trimmed some large logs into smaller sizes for turning on a woodlathe. I have used chainsaws off and on all my life.

I have followed all the directions in the user manual. Total run-time has probably been less than 90 minutes.

When I try to start the chainsaw, the rope will only move about 2 inches. There are no obstructions on the chain drive gear or chain bar. There are no obstructions in the area of the rope.

Any ideas as to what could be wrong or what else I could check?
