    Question:
I've blown the motor on my RZ4623 Zero Turn, and am going to replace it (with another Kohler engine) - is it an over-whelming, complicated job?

Do I take off the engine and plate, and then take the pulley off the engine? There doesn't seem a way to do it while the engine plate is in place as there's no room for a gear puller.

Is there a step by step "guide" anywhere?

Can be a fun job if the drive pulley is rusted on. If it is then it will take a bearing separator, a puller, and an ACE/OX torch. Of course the pulley will be destroyed in the process. Hopefully the PTO is rusted on. Either way hopefully someone did use anti-seize compound which will removal easier. Cub Cadet for one that don't and it is a real pain to remove these pulleys.

On some mowers there is enough to pull the engine with the drive pulley still on.
