I have a 48 inch lawn mower--------how do you grease the center blade? Is there a part missing in my package? Purchased at Lowes and they don't have an answer for me either - so I am looking for an answer from you
According to the IPL all three spindle assemblies are the same so you should find grease zerk in the same place. They do however get knock out by debris sometimes.
Again, you misunderstood the question-----------how do you lubricate the center one WITHOUT removing the deck from the mower? Should this HAVE BEEN and angled ZERK? Do you have and can you send?
Sorry about that the way I read the post was not able to grease because a part was missing.
I probably do have 90 degree zerk in stock here but I am not with Husqvarna but is an independent repair shop. The 90 degree zerks are available through auto part stores.
Even to install one it depends if the OEM spindle shaft has a threaded version or a press in version. If press in then the spindle shaft would need to be removed, tapped, cleaned, and re-installed to prevent metal shaving from entering the bearings.
It would much easier to just purchase a 90 degree grease couple for you grease gun. One version would clip on your current grease coupler and another version requires replacing the current coupler.
