    Question:
Hi, I bought a Husqvarna trimmer with a blade, model 128DJX on Monday 7/11/2011. What's upsetting is the manual doesn't show how to take the trimmer off and put on the blade. The manual is written in so many languages and in plain English doesn't give a good description of removing the trimmer head from the shaft.

I even asked my neighbor and we both agreed not enough in the pictures to show how to remove the trimmer head. The sales people where we bought it gave no instructions. We bought a Husqvarna large snow blower and so I decided to buy a weed eater, because I know Husqvarna makes dependable products. But give me a break with the manual. I can't even get the manual up on your website. I thought maybe there would be a better description in a picture.

    Would appreciate some help.

    thanks,
    John

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

Make sure the engine is off and the unit is cool, wear leather gloves. In the package you should have received a scrench and a metal dowel pin.

From the top of the gear head find the hole that is parallel with the arbor. Insert the pin and push gently, while pushing rotate the blade or line head till the pin seats and prevents the blade or line head from turning. Use the scrench to remove the nut holding the blade or turn the complete head assembly to unscrew it from the arbor. This is left hand thread so you will need to turn the nut or head opposite of normal rotation.

    I hope this helps.

You can find your local Husqvarna dealers for sales and service and parts as well as manuals using the link.
