    Question:
I have a year-old dual stage snow blower - I don't off hand have the model.

The auger belt slipped off and I noticed that the auger tension pulley is loose in the sense that it wobbles front-to-back a bit. Is this supposed to be a bit loose?

I can't tighten the nut holding the pulley in place because the bolt head is apparently behind the wheel that propels snow upward and through the chute. I'd take the auger housing off and take the auger out to access the pulley bolt, but I don't know how to remove the auger cable where it attaches (and is held in place) to the auger housing. Is there a tool needed to remove the cable?

    Thank you.
