Parts Question
I just purchased a Husqvarna HU700L 22-Inch 160cc Honda GCV160 Gas Powered 3-in-1 RWD Self-Propelled Lawn Mower. This mower is useless as a mulching mower. It clogs and stalls incessantly.
After seeing the 3in1 blade it ships with I understand why - its too flat. I called customer service and they gave me part number 406713 as a mulching blade for this mower. I ordered this and discovered that it isn't keyed properly to fit on the HU700l. Very frustrating.

Is there a proper mulching blade that will fit this mower or have i just wasted $400?

It is upsetting that you are experiencing this kind of problem.
The blade that came on your mower is a 3n1 blade and was designed that way. The blade is actually a top performer when used in the correct conditions.
When recycling / mulching, do not cut more than 1" of grass off at a time this may even require that you mow your grass twice a week in the growing season. Also make sure the grass is dry give at least 2 days after a rain or after watering the grass if possible.
There are no alternative blades for this model.
