Snow Blowers

I have a question about an oil leak under my 924HV snow thrower that's similar to a question that got answered last year. Bought a 924HV in November 2011 and, due to the snow-less winter, only used it once. Checking it today found an oil drip on the floor about 10 inches in diameter. If it's not an oil leak - the oil level is close to full - last year's oil leak answer suggests it's grease and fluid from the transmission.

OK, maybe... but if that's what's leaked, am I looking at a transmission problem down the road? Anything I could/should do to replace what's leaked?
