    Question:
I have a weedeater One (WE261)riding mower that I bought in May of 2010. I have been having problems with the front wheels / tires failing and coming apart. I have replaced two front wheel assemblies (part number 428269X613) that I bought from Sears Parts Direct because I couldn't find any authorized repair shops in the 37064 zip code where I live.. I have had five or six failures of a tire on this machine. Sometimes what happens is the tube rotates in the tire and that shears the valve stem off. The tires on both of these assemblies have failed several times. Sometimes the tire slips off of the rim on on either the inboard or outboard side. I have inflated the tires to 30 psi as recommended. Putting tires on is very difficult without having the proper tire tools. Other than the tire problems the machine seems to do the job well for me. Is this a documented problem with this product and do you have any recommendation to prevent it from happening?

Thank you for contacting Poulan/Husqvarna Answer Army.

Tires slipping on the wheel rims, or rolling off the rims, has not been a normal complaint as related to the model unit you purchased.

Normally, this condition only occurs when the air pressure in the tire/tube gets below the proper level; the condition can be influenced by making high-speed turns, or turning while on an incline..

    Continuation of message from below:

If you continue to experience tire problems with proper inflation pressure in the tires, we can only suggest you have the unit evaluated by an authorized Poulan/Weed Eater service dealer.

Our search for dealers in the 37064 Zip Code area, we have the following listed
