    Question:
What should I do about a brand new FT900 tiller that is leaking transmission fluid? There are two spots about the size of a quarter on the garage floor. I have had the tiller about three weeks but have not even put oil in the engine yet.

Thank you for contacting the AnswerARMY.

It is upsetting that you have experienced this problem.

The transmission does not use a fluid but a heavy grease, sometimes the oil separates from the grease and can leak through the seam at the gasket, if not sealed.

Please take the tiller to your local authorized service center, they should be able to determine where the unit is leaking and make the necessary repairs.

Thanks very much for your reply Scott!  That certainly makes sense as it has been warm here (high 80's to low 90's F)

so maybe the heat has caused the oil to seperate.  I will take it in to a local dealer and have them have a look at it.

Thanks again for your response.  It is very much appreciated!
